Our programs are located in the town of La Ceiba which is a typically coastal town with a mix of Latin, Caribbean and Afro-Antillean culture.
Volunteer Honduras La Ceiba offers a lot to a traveler. With its close proximity to Pico Bonito Natural Park, marine reserves and wildlife refuge.
La Ceiba is famous for its Carnival week, which takes place during the Month of May to celebrate the patron saint, San Isidro.
Volunteer Honduras: I really really enjoyed my ABV experience in La Ceiba. The clinics were well run and busy, the people were beyond helpful and friendly and the host family was perfect. We were always made to feel very welcome and safe and always made to feel as if we were helping while learning. I would recommend La Ceiba to everyone.

Volunteer Honduras: The program was truly amazing and much better than I expected. Every aspect of it from the accommodation, food, country, and the project itself were excellent. I leaned a lot about dentistry especially tooth extractions during the project. I even got to have first person experiences assisting the doctors.

Volunteering Honduras: My favorite memory was when they took us to a public school with an accompanying dentist. We would go to every classroom, she would teach the little children how to brush using a model and how to floss. Then we would hand out educational brochures and toothbrush packages to every kid.

Volunteer Honduras: The program itself was very hands on, we had our own patients every day and provided varying treatments, including fillings, extractions and cleanings. The dentists were very helpful and accommodating in the clinic.
